Fair Share Agreement

Business Council members played a critical role in negotiations between the city of New Orleans, representatives of its hospitality/tourism industry and state of Louisiana which led to an agreement under which the City receives $50 million in short-term revenue and $27MM in recurring revenue annually for stormwater infrastructure.

The Business Council continues to work with elected officials to ensure all parts of the Fair Share Agreement are fully implement, including serving on an oversight committee charged with monitoring and advising on the expenditure of funds received by the City pursuant to the Fair Share Agreement.
